Dr. Monica Kharbanda has been a Pediatrician for the past ten years. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the prestigious LIJ-North shore Schneider Children’s Hospital, where she had the opportunity to train under some of the most well-known leaders in different pediatric specialties. In addition, she did extensive research at Feinstein Institute of Research at North Shore University Hospital -NYU school of Medicine in Pediatric AIDS. Her research led her to present at international AIDS conferences and publish in leading medical journals.
Upon completion of her residency she moved to Pinellas county area. Dr. Kharbanda worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Mease Countryside and St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. She gained valuable experience in managing sick hospitalized patient both in community based setting and children’s hospital. She also formed a very close and integral relationship with all the specialists in Tampa/St Petersburg area working and managing patients with them at St Joseph’s Children’s in Tampa. During this time she also served as Chairperson of Pediatrics at Mease Countryside Hospital striving to improve quality of medical care provided in hospital setting. She also had the opportunity to participate in teaching residents from USF Family Practice Residency Program. It was during this time she recognized the need for individualized and personal attention for children in the community.
In October 2014, she founded Countryside Pediatric Care with a vision of creating a pediatric practice which is personalized and also focused towards providing quality care to children of all ages.
Dr. Monica is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr Monica enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and dancing.
